Default Clicking noise

Hi Friends
When I unlock my car with the keyless remote and open the drivers door, I hear a double clicking sound. It actually sounds pretty cool. Just wondering what that is? Any ideas? Thanks.

Be more specific Dave...

From what I read... Unlocking the door has nothing to do with it. It is when you open the door - Right.

Is the clicking coming from the handle as you lift on it?
Does the clicking come from the door as you open it?

What does it sound like. Metal on Metal.. Plastic on Plastic...

Mine does that too and here's what I think it is part of the security system. The reason I think that is because if we do not open our doors after 30 seconds of pressing the unlock, the door will re-lock. I think when you open the door it resets that and that is the noise you hear.

Alex, your descriptions sounds very accurate. I believe I hear the sound when I open the door. Thank you for the information.
