A noise has started on my car, it doesn't sound like metal on metal rattle, more of a knocking of plastics or metal, from what i can tell, its coming from either the drivers side foot well or the drivers door.

I have taken of the drivers door card off and checked the speaker is not loose, all the interior fittings such as the door card, window and door buttons are fixed correctly.

What else can i check? Its so annoying, i drive around 100 miles per day and i about to rip my hair out......

 

Have you lost one of the plastic supports that hold the window glass in place

 

Wind out the door buffers - they wind themselevs in as you keep closing the doors.

So do the boot ones...

Roof catches?

Know you said foot well but the plastic surround on the catches were rattling on mine and it sounded like it was coming from being the dash / door on the drivers side.

Some sticky Velcro pushed down the sides sorted it out.

 

Plastic sort of rattle, I thought it was my key fob or arround the fuse panel and it turned out to be thr drivers side roof catch. Very deceptive some of these sounds.
