Wow, that is amazing. I have been hyping Gateway for potential use as next year's location for the SRT Nationals too. Now Dale's going to come this weekend and see the whole place torn to shreds!
I waited till the storms passed through and headed to Topeka late Wednesday night. Got in at 4AM, left a 6AM wakeup call, and proceeded to spend the whole day outside - in 107 degree heat. I had to run the heater in the car to keep the engine from melting. Now that was comfortable...
That night (thursday), a wind/rainstorm blew through and took all of the canopies and stuff all the way to Kansas City (probably). Nobody could find any of the remnants anywhere. At least the temps went down into the 80's at that point.
Hope they get Gateway all cleaned up soon and back into service.
