I thought shops had to use a paint booth due to enviromental reasons. I wouldn't think that any overspray from another car should ever make it outside the booth unless they sprayed something small in the shop. Kind of stupid IMHO. More than likely they'll have swirls in it but this will need the MMMM (Menzerna Master Mike Man). This treasured secret should remove it if there is any. If you need a garage to do this, PM me. I may do mine again prior to the Oct. meet.

HOWEVER - I completely (also) agree with your concern about the assessment about the garage's practices. You should not have to do anything but compliment their work when you pick up your car. Overspray from another job, or whatever happened - should never have happened.

It was Show Me autobody in Pacific.
I might consider blackballing the business.

Okay, Okay. That said, I saw Slips' door at the last day run (I did not look with a microscope, BTW) and thought the lines and color were perfect. I hope the overspray (?) is on your clearcoat, not under.

Ray-

I'll take you up on this, shoudl have the car back at the end of next week.. I'lll PM you.

As I mentioned, I think Show Me did a great job on the door - the finish is perfect - but thats what you expect for $400. The overspray issue just kinda salted the deal and it was probably a minor mistake, ie. the guy parks it close to a bay and then doesnt close the door when spraying or something stupid like that. A shame really. I will determine if I would take the car back there when I get it back

This is a bunch of f^&*ing BS. I'm so pissed that there is not one damn shop in St. Louis that can even do AN ACCEPTABLE job!! WTF kind of moronic, Cro-Magnon retards are they hiring to do auto work in St. Louis these days?

How come I've been to numerous body shops, had friends and associates go to many more, and still can't honestly recommend one just to do the job they were paid to do? Does the ability to wield a spray gun, take a hammer to a fender, or open a can of Bondo automatically make you an idiot?
