I am fine with it, just gonna suck if anything gets messed up as I will have to pay for it......as mentioned if you feel confident, I have confidence! and if i do need a valve adjustment, should I hold off on the group drive?

Nah... valve adjustment is nothing major. A motor that needs a valve adjustment will result in poor fuel mileage, noisy motor, less hpr.

Just an FYI... Valve Adjustment is usually something the dealer will check for at you 30K service. A full 30k service with valve adjustment and cabin filter change is over $400!!!

I did not have the valves adjusted on mine because they were not knocking and you get hosed on the labor. Also I was under the assumption that the cabin filter is a tedious process that takes a lot of labor(removing the dash etc.). I had the dealer the service and it is well over $100 alone to replace that filter at the dealer. I recently found out it's a very easy replacement you can do yourself in 10 minutes.

Point of the story...you are almost due for 30k service and it sounds like you can get off doing it very cheap if you replace the cabin filter yourself and have Keith adjust the valves.

Lucky you!
Thanks for the advice............i would nevr give my car to a shop for a cabin filter, i know how they jack the price up. I take my vehicle to Will @ Ronsick's Auto Care for major repairs, worked with those guys for about a year, good ppl up there.

A lot of cabin filters are tough to get to. It just so happens the S2000's is not. It's not a repair just standard maintenance. You can do it yourself and will not need Ronsick (unless it's fee!)
