Need a New Windshield
I'm a newbie
.
I'm loving my S2000 but it seems to be a magnet for rocks and looks like I'll need to get my windshield replaced. If anyone could recommend a company you trust I'd greatly appericate it.
Thanks.

Welcome aboard!I'm curious if anyone has ever heard of, or has any experience with, the Diamon-Fusion process. I just recently heard about it and understand that supposedly it would take four times the amount of pressure to break a windshield that has been treated as opposed to one that has not. Problem with this is that there aren't any distributors local to me. However, Auto Care Essentials in St. Louis is listed as a Diamon-Fusion distributor. Might give them a try.

I now have about 68K on the car and when looking through the windshield with the sun in the correct position, I bet I have over 1000 small salt/pepper marks. Looks like someone sandblasted the windshield

Don't feel bad, it's not you. This car is a magnet for road debris. I had a rock chip 2 weeks into owninmg the car. Had it filled by Glass Doctore and is still goinf strong without cracking (nearly 6 years).

I got a hit by a wrench on the highway (or some large metal object in the first S) and had it replaced with non-Honda glass. It served it's purpose, but lacked the OEM look. This S now also got wacked by a rock. Made a perfectly circular chip. I'll let it crack (if it ever does) before thinking about replacement...

Whoever does the replacement for you, request Honda glass.
I got a PPG replacement, which you would think is a great company, but there is all kinds of distortion in it. I am contemplaiting having it replaced as it was a claim on my insurance. I know FormulaRedline has a Pilkington windshield which looks pretty straight FWIW.
