$200 even. I suppose it could have been done cheaper?

they cheacked the keepers/springs too. All was well, so they say

Apparently, Honda used to used to suggest a valve adjustment every ~30k miles (? I heard, source not verified). Later, they changed to every 105k miles (which I am nearing).

The mild knocking and rough idle (especially after a hard stop) are reduced.

Supposedly, the valve clearances get tighter due to wear on the cams & lifters. There are 16 valves in the S.
