Thats the plans I printed out. I was going to do the middle one, looked a little easier.
Some modifications will be needed. DO NOT cut the "Top Piece" (one with speaker hole) as it will be to small. This is actually the case in all three examples. Note the square corners in the diagram. Now note my pricture. See the inside rear corners, they are rounded. The insert itself is also to small by about 2 inches. If you want a tight fit, remeasure the tool box hole and cut the board large enough to let you round the corners to fit tight.

This picture is exact size as diagram. Note the poor fit around the edges and corners.
.

MDF will be the ONLY material to use for this job. Consider lining the inside of the box with sound proof matting and be sure to buy the correct color carpet

Edit:Anyone know how to figure Cubic Air Space?

Uh.. Believe it or not, I know this answer. Here is a great way to figure out volume of irregular spaces like the tool well. Fill it full of packing peanuts. Take the peanuts out and put them into a rectangular carboard box, measure height x width x depth, and you'll have a pretty good measurement.

I'm currently making a cover for the well, and have my piece of mdf about as close as you can get it to a perfect fit. If you would like I can stop by sometime and let you trace it onto your own mdf, so you won't have to do the ol' test and trim procedure.
