Default Car wash and the City

So I moved to a new apartment complex over the weekend that has a "car wash" in the lower level of the parking garage, but it's basically just a foam gun and a broom (??) with which to clean (I don't think whoever installed it actually washed much less detailed a car- ever.). So my question is how do you guys that live in the city do it?

My complex has a car wash station. I basically use it for the water. I wash my car using the two bucket system, so I pretty much bring my buckets, rags, soap, etc. and wash it by hand.

If mine just had water by itself, that'd be a huge help

It's a pain in the butt because it only takes quarters. I have to run to the gas station for $5 in quarters. Could be worse, I suppose.

When I lived in apartments I used to take my own buckets etc. etc., and went to the local self service car wash.

Meh, I just bite the bullet and dish out the quarters. She's worth it.
