Has anyone upgraded your console to the leather version? I'd really like to get rid of this carpeted version.

Marilyn, there have been a couple of members who have the leather console. It looks very nice and is not to hard to install. You can get them from Rick Hessel (on this board), I think there is a link to his website. I like the perforated black myself but it's a bit more expensive.

P.S. If you would like to join S2000 Atlanta, the owners club, please let me know and I'll be glad to send you some information.

Best regards!

Thanks ... I was wondering which looked best (perf or non-perf). And, yes, I'm interested in joining. Pls send info.

Marilyn,
I have the solid leather, but i have yet to install it. I'm planning on doing it as soon as I get back to the home land. I will let you know how it looks.

I got the leather console cover from Rick. I selected the plain top and the perfed sides. I thought that a top perfed or all perfed would look a little to busy, but I don't think you can wrong with any of the options.

BTW, installation was about a 15 minute job. Ricks instructions are very good.

Marilyn,
I have a perforated top and non-perforated sides in mine. I went with black.

Hey Marilyn,
I also have Ricks Console Cover. (Very first mod, since I hated the carpet). It was very easy to install, and I would be glad to help you if you need a hand.

I went with the solid cover. I figured that it would last longer, since there were no holes in the leather to catch on things and tear. Once it tears, it's time to play connect the dots! If you like the look, go for it!

Your seats are perferated to disipate the heat. Not really necessary on the console cover.

Now that the 2002's have a cover, I would be curious how much Honda is charging for their work. The installation of the Honda cover continues the leather all the way around behind the seats. This looks much better that Rick's version, but knowing Honda, they will probably charge twice the price. If that is the case, I would recommend Rick's.

Cheers!
Todd
