Default Rick's Leather Console Cover

First off, I dunno if anyone in Alberta has this thing, so I figured I'd post up my impressions of it.

I was sick and tired of the carpeted console, so I broke down and purchased the leather console cover from Rick. I got it today. It looks great. First thing I did was use some Zaino leather conditioner on it. This scared me because some of the black dye started coming off on the cloth I was using. I'll avoid leather conditioning this product from now on I think.

Install was a bit of a pain in the ass. The instructions made it sound and look pretty easy, so I whipped my car into the warehouse here at work, and went at it. (Dave, I guess the carpet does stay on! and so do the clips, so I'm glad we put it back together yesterday!).

My knuckles are pretty beat up after installing this thing. Took me an hour of wrestling with it, trying to get it straight and trying to tuck in the damn plastic sides. After it was all said and done, I'm glad I got this thing. Interior looks much better.

I was going to take pictures, but they turned out too dark...

So is it worth the money? To me, yes. I guess it depends how much that carpet drives you crazy...

I don't know why I had so many issues with mine. And nah, it was in my warehouse the whole time... room temperature.
