Possibly Moving Back
Ok, so I am seriously considering moving back to Atlanta and getting the hell out of the seat theft capital of the world South Florida. I lived in ATL for 18 years and have begun to really miss it.
I need some advice. My car is supercharged and I am running an AEM 1052 to control everything including bigger injectors and extras. Now it is my understanding that you can not take it to emmisisions with the AEM since there is no OBDII port. I also can not run the car with the stock computer anymore. (Florida does not have emmissions testing)
So, I am wondering what some of you do to pass emmissions who are in similiar situations. Feel free to pm me with any answers that you do not want to openly post.
Thanks

is there emissions in ATL?
Emissions isn't required in counties far out from the city.

Yeah, if you plan on living outside of atlanta, there are plenty of counties that don't have emmisions. If you plan on living in Atlanta, then you'll have to find a place that takes cash tips if you know what I mean.
You can pass emissions the legit way by doing a couple of things.
1. Take out your AEM EMS and put back your stock ecu.
2. Take off your supercharger belt. VERY IMPORTANT!
3. Take out your fuel injectors and put back your factory ones.
4. You'll need to set your fuel pressure back to factory specs (40 psi out of vacuum if I remembered correctly).
5. Check all your vacuum lines. I usually bypass the IAT and air pump with the AEM to get a better vacuum. You'll get a CEL if you try to bypass those on the factory ecu.
6. Drive 1 cycle (roughly 250 miles) of highway and city miles so your stock ecu will be able to give a obd reading.
7. Check for any CEL.
8.. After you get your emissions, put everything back.
I have to do this every year and its a PITA, but it works.
Good luck.
