Default Rick's Windscreen

Does anyone have this installed? Is there a noticeable difference in the amount of wind?

I have the 3/4 Gray screen.. I love it (asthetically), though I can't tell the difference.. over 90, it's pointless and better put down because it will crack. Mine has cracked in 6 places, 4 of them at each corner. Rick replaced it free of charge.

I've seen several that have cracked or just broken in half. The other problem that everyone is fighting is that the taller piece vibrates a lot while driving. I've seen Rick come up with a few solutions like adhesive rubber bumpers that do not work because they fall off. When I saw Rick's car on the OBX run it looked like he actually screwed into the roll hoops to keep the windscreen from vibrating.

It just looked like to much trouble to me, I bought the convertible to enjoy the open air not to figure out ways of keeping the wind out of the car.

I don't have one on my S, but have seen and ridden in those that do. I didn't notice much difference in the amount of wind in the car, but I did notice that it sure did squeek a lot, which I think Rick subsequently resolved for my friend. However, another problem is the reflection that it gives off at times. It will blind drivers behind you if the sun hits it just right. It's for these reasons that I never got one myself, but I must admit, and functionality aside, it sure does look cool!

Amen to that. That is the same reason that I did not get one.

Thanks for all the info ...

Sounds like my $$ would be best spent on the titanium shifter.

I would splurge the few extra ducketts and snag a true cold air intake before anything.. The car is noticable quicker and let's face it, rolling through the underpasses, it sounds like a freakin F1 car at full tilt. I love the sound of my intake!! Most drivers gaze over, eyes wide open, expecting to see a Mclaren.. nope, Honda.

I had Rick's full height and it did squeak especially between 35 and 50 MPH. Bought Mingster's tinted screen that has a fixed mount. One caveat: it will not fold down but has 2 wing nuts underneath that remove easily. This works much better and does not squeak or vibrate while reducing wind buffeting over stock screen. Anyone want to buy a Rick's etched screen with small crack cheep?
