Yea its a sickness, I could purchase a real car for what I have spent over the years on my rig, It's got a room dedicated for it as well.

The easy "justification" for a sim setup like you have is the cost vs. real racing. Or that's the justification I will use with the wife one day. "$3k only buys a set of wheels and tires whereas I get a whole sim setup for that cost"

That rig seems to move to much? Maybe its supposed to to simulate G forces?

Ya that would be my guess. I remember seeing it on youtube a couple years ago. It's just wild looking.

In the future I'd guess the future of sims will be something like the Oculus Rift or the Sony equivalent. A moving rig like that w/ a VR headset would be nuts.
