OH! I bought one of those mequires attachments that you hook up to a drill to use as a buffer. 56 bucks at walmart! gonna do some 3 step process action on the s2000. doing it by hand on a big car sucks. took me 8 hours by hand on my old black hyundai sonata...
If you don't really know what you are doing I would not recommend using this on the paint. You really want a dual action polisher, specially polishing an S2000 with their soft paint. A rotary will leave lots of holograms etc and you could easily burn through the paint.

I have to look at it again but i swore it was. I never used it, but i watched the whole meguires DIY video on how to apply and what not. I guess I just need to take it slow and do it right.

I wanted to go through the car wash to get the undercarriage cleaned. But you guessed it, all of the damn car washes were PACKED. I ain't got time for all that.
When I can get to a spigot and hose I will hook up my sprinkler and drag it under a few times. I also have a hose attachment to a 3 foot wide sidewalk/pool deck "sweeper" I can drag under it.
hmm never thought of that! Thanks for the tip, Mark!

hmmm I did not know that, but what a cumbersome thing to try and use.

And I bet it isn't particularly good for the drill either. I have noticed that they use corded drills in their marketing materials. I'm pretty sure it will really shorten, if not end, the life of a lithium ion battery. Those things aren't meant to be run constantly.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, Alan, but you might want to consider returning it (if possible) and just spending the additional money on a proper Porter Cable DA buffer.

well poop.

I figured the s2000 is such a small car, i would be ok with the attachment thing. The hood and the left fender was repainted already so i figured i could just leave those alone.

So i wanted to show you guys the hood and the mufflers I painted then installed.

I must say, I'm very proud of my work on the hood.

I also painted the mesh with 4 coats of black paint, then 4 coats of clear wheel paint that said it was more "durable" than regular paint.

The paint was painted with semi gloss with 4 coats of engine paint.
