although that is not even a true rotary but would still be wary of using it.

OH! I bought one of those mequires attachments that you hook up to a drill to use as a buffer. 56 bucks at walmart! gonna do some 3 step process action on the s2000. doing it by hand on a big car sucks. took me 8 hours by hand on my old black hyundai sonata...

The Meguiars doo-hicky is dual-action, sir.

If it leaves a ghost image of Jem, that might be okay.

In other news, I have two orbital buffers and a bunch of stuff for them that I have no use for now.

And I bet it isn't particularly good for the drill either. I have noticed that they use corded drills in their marketing materials. I'm pretty sure it will really shorten, if not end, the life of a lithium ion battery. Those things aren't meant to be run constantly.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, Alan, but you might want to consider returning it (if possible) and just spending the additional money on a proper Porter Cable DA buffer.

This may be very bad for me BUT I have discovered the s2ki.com of the Tacoma world. Called, uh... TacomaWorld.com. All sorts of DIY stuff, product reviews, tips-n-tricks... yadda, yadda, yadda....

Of course there is NO substitute for my beloved HAW or WTD/RTD meets so you haven't gotten rid of me just yet. I'm just happy that there is what appears to be a solid resource for all things Tacoma. I've even started shopping for accessories.

I am tempted to see what the new Jeeps are like with solid doors and hard tops but, honestly, I really want a pickup for the utility. The conversions could be nice but you are up in st00pid money territory before you get what you want. The Tacoma has the off-road cred I'm after and they drive really nice. What's not to love?
