Fortunately, I had a stroke of "genious" and opened up the box for the printer before I left the office. The new printer didn't come with a USB cable. I have an extra in the office so I'm still okay for the install but I would have been livid if I got to the house only to find that I had to come back.

Everybody is getting cheap these days. Ceiling fans at my fathers house did not come with the screws need to attach the fan to the ceiling box. But it did come with an extra screw for the fan blades.
I am not at all surprised it didn't come with it but I would have been very angry with myself or not checking before I got to the house.

The latch usually takes weight when it is closed doubling the load bearing ability.
I'm not going to go swinging on it or anything but I am definitely not worried about it staying put.
