I love Northern Cali, I had a amazing time when I visited in November 04... The drive on Hwy 17 IIRC from San Jose to Santa Cruz is amazing! I gotta see if I can find some of the pics I took

I know that one, too... That damn road almost cost me a flight once. It is a trip to drive, but the traffic is nutty!

traffic? we didn't catch any... all switchbacks through a bunch of Sequoia trees...

I wasn't driving, my friend was... we were in his 2.5rs... AWD was great... He knows that car very well, actually scared me a few times on the way to Yosimite... those Mt roads are f0ckin incredible

he lived in Oakland, visited SF a few times... did the tourist shit, embarcadero, lumbard st, fisherman's wharf, etc...

that was cool and all but I had a much better time hanging out with some friends in Berkeley

Definately not 17 then... I have been on that road at all hours and there always seems to be traffic. It is a mother of a road; two lanes in each direction and almost as many curves as the Dragon... Just ugly with traffic...

I don't think I have ever been on any of the side roads, though... Can't remember...
