The brake light is a little different, but will fit all trunks, and all trunks will fit all years.

the automatic unlocking mechanism from inside the car is the same too, right? the connection from the trunk to the car?
(the only way i will be able to open this trunk is with the button)

Been there... done that. I would not want a shaved keyhole on my track lid. It was bad enough that I couldn't get into the trunk without a battery for a couple of months... and the battery was dead.
