Back from a Skyline drive w/ the Mrs and Aaron and his girl. It's nice to be somewhat sunburnt.
Glad to hear the drive was nice. My brother tried Saturday, started at Front Royal. Was going to to Skyline and stop at Wineries along the way, spend three days checking out both parkways. But the fog was Sooooo bad he couldn't see the lines on the road, and after 6 hours he gave up and drove home.

He did say that when the fog wasn't bad that the leaves had started to turn, not full change yet, but not bad either.

slowest day ever in the HAW?

F**cking contractors. Argh. I can see this is going to be fun. At least I got to smash down some drywall today. That felt good.

Mark, if you ask me I think the leaves were damn near perfect. I like it when there's still a lot of green and the leaves that have changed are still very vivid. The colors seems to be the brightest at this point. Plus, as a bonus, there isn't any of that shit all over the road. The actual Skyline drive was very scenic but kind of crowded toward the end of the day. The road leading to the entrance however, . On our way out we did that stretch a few times.

Also, I was a bit sticker shocked to get there and find out that they charge $15 to drive it. WTF?

George gave me a route that we thought would be nice but too far for our tastes for today. I'll have to check that one out another time. It also had a shit load of turns. My navigator was having a hard enough time WITH the GPS. "Keep going straight for a few more m-- TURN LEFT RIGHT NOW!!!" " WHICH ONE LEFT OR RIGHT?!?" "LEFT..... i think" *SQQQQUUEEEALLLL*

yeah, I agree with the fall colors issue. I think my poor brother saw so little of the foilage and way too much fog and the r word to actually enjoy it.

Sounds like a fun road you guys ran. The pictures looked a lot like the Dragon at some spots. Twisties Yeah
