the amps will be mounted to the fiberglass box so they'll be upside down

Btw, Sears didn't even have a slot in their cabinet for a 250 ft.lbs torque wrench.

Are you removing the trunk carpet first? It robs you of a ton of space. So the amps will not be seen thenn. How are you securing the enclosure so as not to allow it to bounce around? Will this be easily removable for the track/autox?

yeah when checking out my trunk I noticed that the carpet barely even touches the sheet metal...

haven't thought about the exact way of mounting the amps but I have some t-nuts that I might be able to use.

Removing it would be as easy as unplugging the amps and pulling it out... I wouldn't want to do it everyday but for track events and autox's I don't see it as being a problem

in thoery, nothing but a small area of fiberglass should be touching the sides of the well so the top mdf will keep it from moving side to side, the parts of the box that don't make room for ducting would be able to stabilize it against the sheet metal... perhaps using some big velcro patches...

This enclosure's mounting tabs/brackets were busted after my first aggressive drive- pre-run for FC'03. I got airborn and snapped those suckas off. You need to ensure that this piece you're constructing is quite secure. Potholes can be a b!@tch.
