although for the Army, i think at age 37, you only have to do the 2 miles in like... 24 min or something to pass.. dont know though.

Not sure about the women's side of the military, but over on the men's varsity side, that's just getting started.
I should have mentioned that it only took me 30 minutes to run that far.

That is actually what is keeping me from signing today.

I need to know what the odds are that I would be separated from Bobbie for an extended period of time. I am looking at career fields that are predominantly done in the greater DC area so that there is a high chance I'll get stationed here.

I know I will have to leave for training but I want a job in the DC area. That is key... If I can't get good odds on that happening, I won't join. Plain and simple.

Bobbie and I have talked about it A LOT in recent weeks. She is 100% behind my decision. No matter what it is... She is aware of the opportunities that come with service because she served herself. She is also aware of the risks. While she is not happy about what could happen, she feels (as do I) that the opportunities outweigh the risks.
Go for it son.

I can run as far as 6 or 7 miles in an hour. I usually only run that far on Fridays because I need at least two days off from the gym after doing so.

I know I am not in the best shape but I am working on it... My diet is the hardest part.
