2nd Semi-Official HAW MTB'er Thread
FWIW I am about 15 miles closer than you on that map.
Also, your route has you going around the Beltway counter-clockwise.
You'll save an hour going the other way.
Typical rush hour drive is slightly more than an hour. I can do it in 50 minutes if the stars, Moon, and Sun align.

Looks like next week might be crowded... maybe we ride Accotink instead?

I rode Accotink with MORE last night, you park in the same place but ride out towards (and eventually underneath) Braddock Rd
I can't make it Tuesday, I will be riding on Thursday as well, why not make it on Thursday?

Ride your bike south on the gravel road. Cross under Braddock Road. Take your first right. Cross a small bridge, then turn left. Climb the singletrack to the left of the stairs. Follow Danbury Forest Drive south until it ends. Ride straight up the hill to the gravel road. To the right of the kiosk, you should see singletrack leading into the woods. You’re there!

Take Braddock Road East. Take a right onto Backlick Road. Take a right onto Highland St. Follow this to Lake Accotink Park. Park at the big parking lot on the left, next to the train trestle. From there, ride your bike up to the dam, then take a left on a paved trail. Follow this up a short, but steep, uphill. Ride until you see singletrack on your left. You’re there!
