Bah, no need to pre-order. I don't think I've ever gotten a game later than release day and I haven't pre-ordered anything for years.
Just a matter of how dedicated (and a little lucky) you are. Even with systems, I got my Wii on launch day too without a preorder
Might have to pick up R6LV2 though........
Still working my way to that P90 I want so badly in COD4 though... (can't help it I'm a Stargate geek
