I did find out that the bass is a little more strenuous to play. the buttons are little larger in size, which means you have to stretch out your hand a little more. that, and the plucking, really makes your forearms sore.
I replaced the fans with newer, quieter, high flow fans the other night (now my 360 glows blue).
Last night, I did the xclamp mod. It seems to have worked well. I played a few hours of Saints Row 2 without it freezing at all. I found that rubbing alcohol doesn't work that well when cleaning the heatsinks and chips. I used sticker remover, which worked very well. I also used a straight razor to scrap off any excess off the heatsinks.
