Weak saz.... does the wireless RB guitar work for GH though?
Nope. Both companies are basically saying its the other one's fault and frankly I'm of the mindset not to bother buying anything from either camp in the future.

It's a shame too because the game is fun and its a shame that my first experience with it is marred by problems like this.

Even if the incompatability rests on the side of RedOctane/Activision, Hamonix/EA should just suck it up and put a patch out. Although according to IGN, they're washing their hands of it and telling people to go talk to Red Octane which is pretty silly as its not like RO can release a hardware patch

Well the developer/publisher/game is technically different on each platform:

Rock Band: Harmonix / EA / MTVGames
GHIII: Neversoft / Activision / Red Octane

What make the situation so ridiculous is that you can't buy the "compatible" gear for RB without buying the bundle. I would be mildly pissed if it was just a situation of going down to best buy and picking up another $50 guitar, but you can't buy those until a few months into '08. Again minor inconvenience for me who has the bundle, but what about the poor sap who bought the standalone PS3 version expecting to use his GHIII controller but now can't return the game (as its open) and is forced to either buy the $170 bundle or let the game collect dust?

I saw they announced that. Looks cool. I didn't play the first Vegas, but I did play the original Rainbow Six on the PC. Really liked that game, so I'll probably pick this up. I understand that the first Vegas was a great game.

Plus, it's hot watching a chick play lead guitar on expert and totally rock it!
