The Renovation Begins
Coming together very nicely!
I've already got everything in place for my kitchen renovation (appliances, cabinets, granite for countertops, etc). I'm getting a sink similar to yours. With a smaller vegetable sink on the side. Just waiting on the contractor to finish an eight-week job. He's supposed to get to me the first week in March. Then no kitchen for six weeks. Once it's done, though, it will be really beautiful. I'll post pics like you are doing.
really hard to believe this is the same place...
a couple of pics... still a work in progress, but we got the speaker wire run and hidden underneath baseboards and door moulding
Used the router table to route out the back and allow the flat speaker wire to sit flush underneath... Still not sure about the final routing along the front wall, but this will do.
The speakers are Klipsch satellites from a full 5-speaker surround set picked up at Myer Emco for a "deal." The rest I'm going to use in the bedroom and repurpose my Boston Acoustics bipole rear channels in there. These sound good already, even as the only speakers running right now.

And of course, the plumber came by and hooked up the gas (cooking, yay!) and sink/disposal/dishwasher/refrigerator (washing! and filtered water! yay!).

We attached a lot of baseboard all over the place today, but still have more to do. Really need to get door moulding up everywhere first. I've also painted the outside wall of my office, but the camera isn't rendering that color very well (it's a nice rust red). So I'll get pics of that with the better camera later on.
Coming along well and I cooked our first meal in the kitchen tonight. Maybe some rearrangement of pots and pans and stuff is in order, but I felt inspired and dinner was excellent

Just started looking through this thread and WOW what a sweet place. Congratulations on the new (renovated) digs, we just started (today) having all our settling issues taken care of in our townhouse.

goes diagonal from bottom right to top left?

really looks awesome!
