Wow...interesting yet funny thread.

FORGET THE CAR PEOPLE...AND FORGET THE POWER...if you can't ride or drive then you could easily be beat by something fairly close...

When I had my 04 R1 I had a chance to race a Supra that supposedly made 700rwhp+ or so...we raced off the roll at 60mph at 100mph and also from the dig....not in any race was he even close ....it was absolutely murder.

He was barely keeping up with 600bikes...

I would love to see a 670rwhp S2000 run against a 600 bike...videos please~!!!!!

just because the car has a lot of horsepower, it still can get smoked by a bike.

here is a vid of a 540 rwhp cobra getting SMOKED by a 600cc bike. Several runs, including rollons, all with the same result.

I haven't view the video yet, but I have a feeling it's the infamous F4i racing the Mustaing.

This statment just proves my point even more. pretty much no car's are going to touch a current liter bike unless it is making 1000+hp.

A GSXR1000 will do low-mid 9's properly ridden and there a lot of cars that are in the 8's. If you want to mod vs mod you can tune a GSXR1000 fairly easily with exhaust, air shifter and proper maps to real low 9's. Add FI or a shot and kick it up another notch, you just have to strap the front end down and hold on.

...however, 90% of riders out there, even with say "mid to moderate" experience, would never see 9's. It takes a HELL or a rider to handle that much power and of course, a couple of lbs. worth of balls.

Actually it regularly happened when I used to go to 1/4 mile tracks. My best friend used to beat the Hyabusa's every week and yes he has very big ones. i forgot waht his time on the 'busa was when he would switch bikes, a little quicker, but being heavier he didn't like it that much. We did turbo a 'busa but it got wrecked before it ever got on the track for a timing.

apparently he doesn't understand numbers....or he just can't read...

either way here's some correct stats about the gsxr 750
- weight 426 lb wet, 397 lb dry.. not including rider
- 123 hp
- quarter mile = 10.26 sec. @ 135.6 mph
- 60-80 mph/4.11 sec.
- 80-100mph/4.34 sec.

now jdmkid runs an 11.2 at around the same trap speed as the bike...and this is with bad 60ft times cause of traction issues... now if those issues were solved he'd be in the 10's easy...... right where the bike is....

it's pretty obvious that his car is capable of beating the bike from a roll..

even to elaborate even further... with power to weight ratios..

gsxr750: 426lb (bike) + 170lbs (rider) = 601lbs/123hp = 1hp:4.88lb
jdmkid: 2870lb (car) + 170lbs (driver) = 3040lbs/672hp = 1hp:4.52lb
lol owned
