Sova Chat Thread ver. II
So, $2000 later, and my A/C in the house works the way it is supposed to.

New compressor, clean coil, bigger return, and ALL new duct work and hoses under the house/air handler.
I'm happy it's fixed, it just sucks that it took almost all my CCW money.

Damn expensive HVAC crap. We've been lucky with ours so far. The outside unit and handler are 2008 Trane models, so they should hold up for a while. Only thing we've had done was changing out a faulty contactor.
The outside unit and air handler were both installed in 2009. The people who lived here before us, never changed the inside filter, and made the coil get all stopped up, which made the compressor run too much. Trane warranted the part, but I still had to pay labor. And the duct work was all original stuff. Insulation came off in places, condensation built up, pipes separated under the house, and the air handler main duct just rusted out from condensation.
Glad to hear you have AC once again. It's going to cost around $6600 to replace and install the AC units in my VA crackhouse. Luckily, I'm only having to cover the $500 insurance deductible.

Lucky you, Eric. Sort of.
So, I'm about to powder coat another set of AP2V1's. I found this crazy yellow, but I think they are going to be hard to sell. I need input on what color to do. These are strictly for resale, not to be on my car. Give me some ideas.
I really like this rootbeer color, but it's out of stock everywhere.
