hmm well i bought my MCS for 22,000 (which included, Xenons, 17inch Runflats, fog lights, DSC). another 2000, could buy me the sunroof, leather interior, climate control. prices are MSRP though, but if you bought an S2K, you should be use to this

Starting prices for the MCS are around 19500. If you want leather add another 1250. The leatherette (vinyl) feels like leather if you're not paying attention. Many people ask me if it is.

The plasticky interior was an initial gripe of mine when i looked at the car, but now that i own it, it does not bother me. Most of the contact points are really nice (clutch feels good, shifter is nice, steering is precise/exact, good road feel). Since the actual driving is so good, i ignore the plastic bits.

It is too much of a blast to drive in the twisties. No it doesn't mash you to the back of your seat with acceleration but it is a lot of fun in the curves. It just carries so much speed through the turns. It's not S2K good, but it's better then a lot of cars out there and more forgiving then an S2K.

I don't know about the dime a dozen remark either, they're only building about 120,000 a year (MAX capacity for the single factory that makes them). Of that 120K, only 25K-30K will make it to the US. Divide that by 70 dealers, and that comes to 430 cars per dealer per year! While that is 4 times as many as the S2K, it's still pretty rare, not VW Beetle or Jetta numbers common.
