Focal speakers
well we all know that the s2k stock stereo is crap at best. I just got done swapping out the pioneer 5-1/4 components and 4ch-600w pioneer amp with a set of Focal polyglass 165vb's & an Alpine PDX5...the difference is unbelievable!!! you get what you pay for & I am more than pleased with my new upgrade. just thought I'd share with you all, Scott

I'll try to make the next one! yea, the Focals are great & the alpine pdx5 is actually under rated as far as wattage goes. the certificate that came with mine says that the actual rms tested was 98w instead of 75w for the 4 channels & 420w for the mono sub channel instead of 300w...I highly recommend both!!
the first time I swapped out the deck, seperates & installed the amp & sub I did all the work myself. this time I did the swap of the amp & speakers myself, but security & sound made the adapter baskets for the bigger 6-1/2" speakers. the stock stereo uses crappy wires(like 22 gauge I think) so you're gonna want to change all that out. taking out all the panels & being careful not to break anything is probly the hardest part aside from running the speaker wire through the conduit at the door hinge. I also highly recommend Security & Sound for installation of stereo or alarms. they do great work & are real helpful!
the pdx5 & 165vb's werent cheap, but I did get them for $250 cheaper than retail & got a pair of y adapters that are needed to bridge the rca's running from the deck to the amp & the 6-1/2" speaker baskets for free+ a Focal t-shirt, so I couldnt pass that deal up
