i was at the track last night saw a black s2k running, walked over and asked him what he was running. said 18's he said he would rather have a civic with a gsr motor in it, cause its faster. i asked him what he was launching at he said 5000rpm, and then he proceeded to tell me that traction control wouldnt allow him to launch higher, and then went into detail about how traction control works, how it kept slowing him down, not allowing him to spin the tires. at that point i didnt know what to say, so i just walked away.
he totally believes that his s2000 has traction control.
oh i almost forgot, a little later i actually saw him pull up to the water box to burn out, he stopped the front wheels in the water and did his burn out!

sounds like someone will need a new clutch and lsd soon. he was stupid for going into the water box anyway on street tires. it does absolutley nothing, in fact, it actually makes your tires worse someone should have got out there to stop him
this story reminds me of the turbo-charged rsx in hawaii. it is a base model with 160hp stock. he went to tracks on friday night and could only squeeze out a 16.1 and 15.8 1/4 mile times. something is definitely wrong when most stock type-s owners run in the mid 15's. its a good thing rsx's don't have "traction control"! lol instead acura gave us the worst michelin tires know to man. thats our traction(less) control.
