how much $$$ does the government make out every safety check fee? how about citations for expired safeties??? if its guaranteed easy money, its guaranteed to stay. the safety check law being repealed is wishful thinking at best....same with recon

 

Marcpaco. I could get the documents if needed. Yes. I can get it in writing. I agree safety inspection is a joke. But not as much as recon. I think only major things like the car stops good. Front end not falling off. All lights, turn signals brake light etc work. tires not bald or showing steel belt. Is actually a good thing. More safe cars on the road.

 

if this passes, does that mean recon will go away too..?

Lol doubt it they might make it so you require recon only for "modified vehichles lol atleast for the first couple of years and I was told that safety could be on a plate but it still has to have the stickers going left to right the up and down ones are illegal

 

they should close the recon office and move those people to kapolei permit office

Going for Recon on Tuesday. Alignment is tomorrow morning at Scotty's. I'll let you know about the safety stickers on the steel plates. I have mine below my bumper

Wen i went to get recon with my s i had the steel plate in the middle on the bottom of my bumper and then they had me relocate it to the right. So i relocated it, got my recon, then relocated it back to the middle :tongue:
