I'm going to be visiting Hawaii next week and will be spending most of my time on Oahu. I would, however, like to visit Kauai for a day or two. What are my options for transportation from Oahu to Kauai? Plane or boat? Also, what are the approximate prices for each.

Plane only. You can get them pretty reasonable online. Try Hawaiian or Aloha airlines. Roundtrip will run you about $100 per person.

Stephen, I've been to Hawaii more times then I have to any other vacation destination. I can't wait till the Mrs finishes her fellowship in 3 years and we move out there permanetly so she can be reunited with her family and I can just hang-out at the beach.
