what do you guys think whould be a good diff oil to put in to the car, im thinking somthing synthetic.

i've been using mobil 1 and it seems to be fine. i might try LE607 next. from what i gather, those are the top 2 recommended diff fluids.

 

LE607 is some good stuff. I put it in with the 4.57 gears and I don't get any gear noises like some of the other 4.57 users do. I also like that it is a single weight not multi-weight gear oil.

did u use any other diff fluid before u used LE607??

im currious if your diff made noise with another type of oil, and if its JUST the oil causing it to not have gear noise.

Im asking because i have gear noise with my 4.77's and would like to try that oil if it makes a difference.

I used some royal purple at one point and it had quieted it down some so i can see it helping....hmmm

 

I changed my 2000 that had 21000 miles w/ Mobil1 75w90 but didn't hear a difference in noise. But my diff wasn't making noise to begin with.
