Default Gearbox and Diff Oil

I have my next service coming up and am going to get the gearbox and diff oil changed. I called up my last order from Opie online (below)

My question is, should I stick with these makes / types and are the amounts ok?

Amsoil Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid MTF -1 US Quart (0.946L)
SKU: AMSMTF-1
2

REDLINE Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90 GL5 -1 x US Quart (0.946L)
SKU: REDSYNGO75W90-1
2

If I recall correctly Tim, you'll need two of those Amsoil MTF bottles for the gearbox. And it's great stuff.

I've not used the Redline stuff in the diff. I went for Silkolene Silktran and one litre is enough. Again, good oil.

I'm told the old diff oil really stinks when it comes out so get a clothes peg ready if you do it yourself ;-)

OEM diff oil - a lil bit fishy in my opinion.

Oh, and thick as you like, i nearly had to sit on my syphon pump to get the new stuff in!
