I recently had my comptech supercharger installed. I noticed a rattling sound coming somewhere behind the dashboard (somwhere from the center to passenger side). The rattle sounds comes on as I cruise steady in mid 3k rpm. Doesn't come on when I accelerate. This reminds me of the clutch buzz that the S2000 has, but just louder, which sound like a rattling sound. By the way, this is not the whining sound of the supercharger.

Could the supercharger make the clutch buzz worst? Anyone have any idea where I should start tackle the problem.

 

can you hear it if your standing in front of you car with the hood popped?

 

Nope...The only noise I could pick up was the whining noise from supercharger and the engine.

 

yeah i just installed my vortech and it makes the same sound, i can hear mine with the hood popped, it rarely happens though. either when you are starting from a stop or when you first turn on the car

 

Sounds like rocks in a can? SC Gear lash - do a search and you should find many topics. Happens only at idle / low RPMs wih no load on the charger.
