Default Most Recommended Mods

Hi Everyone -

I am currently looking to buy my first S2000 (first Honda at that), and I will have some money to spend on mods. I usually like to get as much as I can out of each vehicle I own, so I was hoping everyone could give me an idea of what the "top ten" mods are.

I have already decided to pick up the hard top, but I'm sure there will be things like exhaust, intake, chip, stereo, shocks, wheels and tires, sway bar, etc. Thanks for the help and sorry if everyone always asks this, I haven't explored the sites search engine yet.

Definitely a nice ride - even bone stock!

#1 mod for the money in my opinion is the front lower cross brace!

My first and favorite mods are pretty simple. Intake - for an awesome sound. and a front grill to keep crap out of the radiator. For a list of aftermarket modifications for the S2000 see the S2KI Sponsor list (see link at the bottom of pretty much every page on this site). They have everything for this car. Good luck.

why don't you first drive the car for a while and then see what you feel needs improvement?

the only things I would do right away are security mods, since by the time you realize that you *need* them, it's too late.

Kodokan_4 has a McGard seat lock group buy, and considering how popular our seats are to steal (and how expensive they are to replace-- can you say $3500 each?!), that's a must-do mod.

also a good alarm system wouldn't hurt, and many people have been happy with the one offered by WLAURENT -- I just ordered my system from him.

What are you going to do with the car? Street only? Track days and DE's? Autocross? Hard to advise without knowing your style of driving.

so you got the Ti Voodoo shift knob, and in terms of preference it comes after the compartment divider? I've heard pretty rave reviews about "shifting feel" with the countersunk knobs.
