Thanks for the quick replies. I know what many of you mean by taking a "drive and determine" approach.

What I can say is that I will be driving the car everyday, but I like to enjoy the performance a car has to offer as well. I will not be racing at any tracks and would engage in your typical highway "tests" from your normal 350Z, RX8, etc.

I like quick acceleration and precise handling and this car seems to be the answer. So many people have tried to talk me into the WRX frenzy that semms to have hit everyone, but I like my car to look exceptional as well as perform that way.

Anyway, thanks for the input. I've narrowed my choices to Silverstone, Sebring Silver, or Blue.

once again, i agree with tritium's speculation about the countersunk knob. if $bones are being considered, i think the best $ for $ mods are:

1) countersunk knob (i have a jumbo Al voodoo from Rick's that i LOVE)
2) CAI (i have the 4-ig, and love that sound, and the little extra HP)
3) rear speakers and amp (installing the amp is a pain, and i suggest just paying someone if your not up for it .... but it is nice to be able to hear the radio at highway speeds)
4) 4.44 (don't have them yet, but if Rick keeps dropping that price, they won't be far off!!!)

so you got the Ti Voodoo shift knob, and in terms of preference it comes after the compartment divider?

You can't "chip" the car but, Mugen offers a replacement ECU. Probably expensive though.
Oh yeah, when I got my car, the first investment was the plexus(plastic rear window), and the 303 aerospace(soft top care)

I don't have the 4.44 gears, but many members swear they are the best mod. Having said that, you cannot buy them for an indefinite time, because they're all sold out. Last I heard, Rick is looking into producing a new batch. The 4.77's are available though.

CHIP? If you're referring to the chip that allows the car to be started, it's built into the key. I agree with the alarm mod first and foremost. I also agree with the "decide for yourself" advice. I'm not into the performance mods. This baby performs just fine for my day-to-day driving. I just added a few "finishing touches" and love my car more.

My top 2 if you use the car for everyday driving...
Alarm
Upgrade Front Speakers

Performance wise the best mod i have done is the AEM Intake. I have document all mods ive done to my car so far and you can read about them mroe in detail here:
http://pages.quicksilver.net.nz/vivisect/ProjectS2000

Remember though, money spent doesnt necessarily equate to a better car... Be wise and dont cut corners with this car...

To my understanding, which is admittedly limited, adding a Forced Induction systems makes several (possibly previous) modifications, such as Cold Air Intake, no longer usable. For this reason it always seemed to me that if you did eventually intend to go with FI, you should bite the bullet and pick it up first. After that, Cold Air Intake, Exhaust, A V-AFC and a Harness seem to be reasonable choices.
