Finally, after have the JDM key for several weeks. I bought a Honda programmed generic key and cut it open with chisel and hammer. Took apart the JDM key and created a hole for the chip. Drilled several holes and used a small triangle file to shape the hole.

how do they program those keys? dealer wanted like $20 to program a new key for my accord

 

I spent $25 from a Honda dealer to get a generic key programmed. They were originally asking $39!

 

Mine came free with the car.....

So your immobilizer component is a chip? I think rick had a cylinder-type of
component. Interesting... I'm thinking about diving into the transplant procedure
