I don't work for lucid and for all i know it is a company comprised of one guy in his garage on saturdays...but i just received and installed his kit in my 2004. plug and play is correct. for about $250.00 what i got includes tax and shipping, taking about 3 weeks to get to me too, you get the kit. kit included two oem rear vent panels, same color as my interior...lots of wire to connect this up and wire connectors...the oem wiring loom connector so that all my factory controls will work from the dash...mounted kenwood two way speakers, and the best set of color instructions i have ever seen. instruction were for an earlier year car but basically worked as a great guide.

needed some common hand tools and a fastener remover for carpet and console cover gromets, kit tells you up front what you need....then the guts to remove and install several panels in the car, the most difficult of which is the radio/console/door cover.

ok, took me about 3 hours and it is sublime, i now have two more channels to my stereo, killer sound in my opinion and the stereo operates the same as it did, only with two more channels of sound. oh, the radio door reinstalls top first rather than bottom first, at least that is the way i did it....

as i researched this i found that these kenwoods sell for less than $100 and you could spend some time going to best buys to get them, then cut holes in your panels after carefully measuring...you only get one shot at that...then wiring the thing up if you have the knowledge to do so....i have seen someone who did this vary same thing...then follow the directions you can get from the same install thread...after spending maybe an extra 2 hours of time you would be able to save about 150.00 with a do it yourself job, i guess. the factory install removes the seats most likely and costs over $400 to buy the speakers which go behind your head...this kit has speakers just behind your heart area of the chest. there is also probably 6 different ways to do this...this kit is worth the money for it's first class instructions and materils and workmanship alone.

alas no photos, but lucid has something you can down load to check out the install as i remember. the instructions are the key, they have photos and step by step stuff in them. the speakers are just installed in the panels and they do not have covers but are well protected by design. look behind your seat, there is a panel, with two hook on it and a vent, that is the one you remove on each side and replace with what lucid supplies. removal of various things on your car produces no visable changes because you reinstall them.
