Default Worse reception w/ Alpine HU

I just installed my Alpine 9813 last night and driving today I noticed my reception is not as good anymore, is this normal?

Thanks,
Mike

There's an antena power-on lead from the deck. Did you hook that up to the power-on lead for the antena? The antena has a powered signal booster in it that needs a signal from the deck to turn on.

:- I figured since the antenna wasn't power I didn't need that wire spliced... I love me. I'll connect that wire and let you know if that was it, it seemed ridiculous that the Alpine would get worse reception.

Thanks!

yup... that's it. and actually, it will depend upon your harness as to what color the power antenna wire is... but you should be able to follow the harness back to the yellow/green.
