Thumbs up car bogging on start up

I have two questions.
1.After my car sits through a cold night, and I go to start it in the morning the car has real defficulties starting. It almost seems like it is seizing up or something for a second or two then shoot up to around 2000RPMS. Is this just the computer adjusting to the cold? or something is wrong because after it is warmed up it will not do it again until the next day.

2. Sometimes when I drive my car cold the RPMS will fall below idle with the clutch compressed and my car will shake for a second before it comes back to ilde again, is this a problem?

Thank you

Yes, this has been a commonly reported characteristic. This car is very sensitive to climatic changes, especially when fall transitions into winter. My car did this every year for the first 3 years. Then, on the 4th year, it learned somehow and has never done it since.

It's most likely NOT a problem. This too, has been reported a lot. I say "most likely" because in some cases, there may be an issue with the MAP sensor and/or the Idle Air Control mechanism not catching the idle quickly enough. If this doesn't go away by itself after a few days, then check out the MAP and IAC.

HINT: In both these scenarios, DON'T help it by giving it gas to keep the idle up or to try and stabilize the idle at start up. This only confuses the ECU and makes it a much harder process for it to learn.
