Default AEM EMS users, where did you install the EMS?

I can't fit mine in my stock ECU location. I've got it wired into the car and am having great success tuning my Vortech supercharger with 750cc injectors and other mods, but I can't use the dead pedal or put the kick panel back on because the EMS unit is in the way!

Any location installation tips, hints or suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

I have a source to get a harness made, I just wanted to avoid that if at all possible.

"Plug n Play" doesn't really work, if the connectors fit in the box, but you can't mount the box close enough to the connectors!!!

There is this stupid piece of metal that helps hold the stock ECU in place, if I could just cut that out I could possibly get the AEM EMS to fit in the stock ECU location....

I ended up installing it under the steering wheel. I was able to get the stock wires to reach after undoing a few connections.

The harness is a much more elegant solution, I mounted mine and several other cars under the seat. You have to take a metal bar and put one end on the stock ecu's tab, and hit it with a hammer.. that will take care of that problem

Thanks for the advice(a little late Chris!) but my under the dash location works perfect. This is the same location the Vortech ecu was located so there were already mounting tabs.

Why spend another $150 on a harness when I don't have to

I sold my 10" harness with my emanage....wish I never heard of the emanage. It is a great tool, but not for 750cc injectors or my application!

No one is going to give you a base map that cost them time and money and/or tuning knowledge for free RCR S2!

You can buy mine from me, or wait till AEM releases one(yeah right).

In a sense it did allow you to "plug" and "play". It never said anything about mounting right?
