How do you mount the AEM EMS unit
I decided to finally try mounting my AEM EMS unit.
It seem to have no space for it to mount flush against the inner kick panel wall.
How have you guys mounted yours. I heard about an Harness extender but am not sure I want to use that and put it under my seat.
I really rather have it mounted back in the kick panel where its hidden.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can fit it with moving the old ECU mounts out of the way. I ended up removing one with a dremmel and bending the others. You will need to angle the serial cable plug up in the space above where the ECU sits now. I then ran the cable behind the stereo and kept it coiled up in the net on the passengers side.
Because of the thickness of it I had problems with the kick panel sticking out too far. I ended up building a bracket to hold the kick panel against the AEM allowing me to rest the clutch foot on the dead pedal. It was still a tight fit and I ended up getting the 5' frog harness and placing the AEM EMS under the passenger seat.

I have the frog harness and have the EMS mounted behind the drivers seat. Makes it easy to connect to, easy to show off, and was less of a pain on the install. I tried going under the seat but that's a no go...the seat pan sits too low.

Thanks for the replys.
Its definitely going behind the seat then, when I get my extension harness.
I am just worried about the EMS being easier to steal. In the kick panel its a little harder to get at. I am not planning on having a break in but just in case. I guess thats the price you pay with aftermarket parts.
If AEM could have only made the unit a little smaller.
