Most cars I've driven have interior door lights to let you see whats on the ground when you open the door and so a passing car won't take your door off. Has anyone thought of adding them?

No, but for everyone that purchased new clear side lights, door lights could be a good use of the left-over amber side markers. And it would be an OEM part.

If I change my door speakers again, I think i'll add the door lights. I could probably just buy OEM accord or whatever and tie it all together neat n' pretty. Would be nice if the car just had then to begin with.

I just wondered why it never made it onto the car ... It's more of an essential compared to anything else. For this, you can scream at Honda just as much as the missing clock issue.

Its a safety feature really. If you open your door at night theres nothing there for a passing car to catch its eye. Also helps if theres a puddle or whatever there when you open your door.

Interesting idea. I pulled the wiring schematic up for the car and the dome light wire is in a 16 pin light blue connector on the passenger side under the dash. The wire color is is green with a yellow stripe and it will have a constant 12v with the door closed and be grounded with the door open. Hope that helps all of you considering it.

Thanks for the informative tip ... Might be a good idea to go into the workshop and put some lighting together on the weekends.
