The Chime for my Door and Headlights only works part of the time. Sometimes when my door is open and keys are in the ignition it will be beeping steadily then stop beeping for a few minutes, then it will start beeping again. Sometimes it doesn't beep at all when I open my door when I have my lights on? What could cause this?

 

What happens if you fasten the seatbelt? What happens if you remove it?

 

I'm not sure. I will check tonight. What is it suppose to do?

 

Probably the switch in the door jamb that tells the car when the door is open or closed. It gets filthy and the contacts don't always work. It just takes a regular philips-head screwdriver to take off, then it's easy to clean.
