Default Oil analysis for the S2000

I have been researching the subject of oil HEAVILY and can verify that the S2000 comes from the factory with a very high molybdenum base oil with "other additives". I have been in contact with Ryan Stark of Blackstone labs, a nationally recognized laboratory for oil analysis. Ryan has agreed to provide free analysis bottles and a fee discount ($1.50) for all S2000 owners who mention the S2K owners group. In addition he will separate the S2K database for both the engine and differential. I believe this could be an excellent resource to evaluate what's going on with both engine wear and rear differential wear. Ryan will also maintain a historical profile of your car, indefinitely:

His response to my proposition-
Robert: Your proposal sounds good. How about this, we will give you and your users a price discount of $1.50 off the standard $18.50 price, and all they have to do to get this discount is tell us they are a member of the S2000 owner group. We will send them kits free of charge, and gladly E-mail report if requested. In an effort to better serve your group, we will also create a new universal average file on the Honda S2000 2.0L engine, so your group members (and us) can get a better idea of what kind of metals their engines should be making. We would also be glad to set up transmission and differential average files. Let me know how this sounds to you. We are looking forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
Ryan Stark
Blackstone Laboratories.

Cool. I've been using them for my Maxima for a while now. I was going to send in my s2000 when I got to 5000 miles, which is very close now.

I'll post my results when I get them back.

Same thing happened to me twice. Mail was undelivered to that address. Is there another address? Or what am I doing wrong?

OK, I went to their website and used their E-mail address to order the free kit. Hopefully the discount will apply as I mentioned the S2000 club in the E-mail.

Blackstone's generic E-Mail address is:
freekit@blackstone-labs.com
