Arrow Odd Runs: Story #2 Out Of 3

Yup... A good ol' police auction edition... '99 Chevy Caprice Interceptor... Wagon...

I'm now heading back from a quick rendevous at my clients pad in Monroe... On the way back, I decided to cut up Telegraph Rd from I75 to pick my dry cleaning...

It's gettin' a little closer to dusk at this point, and the one thing you don't do at dusk... Drive through Taylor'tucky' Michigan!! Home of hillbilly's, inbreds and suped up domestics! (just kidding if anyone from Taylor is reading this )

So here, in Budweiser's second home... an obvious NASCAR fan pulls along side of me in his fresh off the force, police Interceptor... At this point, I'm accelerating from a green light and as usual... doing so with a little mustard. He takes this as an invite and floors it to come side by side. I wasn't really in the mood, and continued at the speed limit... but he wasn't haven't it... ya'll z'gonna race, whether ya wanna or not... and he floors it again (in a ricer fashion... interesting ) flies up about 4 cars and TURNS ON HIS HAZARDS!!!

So I'm like WTF... and see him slowed by a light up ahead. I make my way towards (trying to be casual) and just as we're side by side (rolling at about 15), the light turns green and I drop the motha' to 1st and 'Rice' him right back!!

After pulling about 6 cars.... I decide to let Bizarro Earnheardt catch up and we both, again... drop and take off on a more even match. I tell you what... if I didn't get a great jump, and pull about 2 cars right off the bat... it would have been somewhat even. I didn't seem to pull much more after the initial launch from a rolling 25mph. Those cop cars are definately beast... with the Vette Engines and upgraded chips... So all in all...

it was a great run...

until he ran me into the median as he swerved into my lane, while reachin' for his Bud... (seriously...) jacka$$...

I haven't seen them there before... but I'll definately keep an eye out!

I'm suprized that there isn't more insight on these "retired" police interceptors and what they are capable of...?

Nothing really.

LT1, heavy as hell, no mods worth mentioning, apart from cooling upgrades, and possibly gearing if its supposed to be for highway duty.

Quit ripping on Taylor!! There is no better place to find looney tunes mudflaps!! You need to start rolling over to woodward on these nice nights that we have been having. There are all kinds of rides cruising around. Just the other night I got into it with a 67 vette and a 95 firebird, three abreast and all of us giving it everything we had. Man was it loud!!!!!! And the firebird was turquise none the less. I got to see a NSX and a C6 get into it last week. Man are those C6's looking good. You gotta love the motorcity baby!!!!!!!!!!!

REALLY!? Woodward and what!? and what time are you heading out there!? I've been finding myself taking loooong drives after work just to relax. I'm driving from Milford... All the way out to Milford for a good country drive. Frankly... I just got to get out of the city...

Between like 9 and 12-13 seem to get more and more popular the closer the Dream Cruise gets. I work near 12 and Woodward and can see cars all day long.

Gratiot is another good run! Both have a lot of alley's (from what I remember from my street running days) that you can turn in and quickly shut off the lights
