Painting/Fitting a lip...
On average, How much is a paint and fitting job @ a body shop for a lip?
I figure that materials are $40, and I have a compressor and professional painting tools @ my dad's, but It's just going to be tedious. (Just wondering if it's worth saving the money....)

Hell, I've recently thought about buying a compressor, two paint guns, and plastic curtains to turn my garage into a spray booth. All to just paint my Integra.
Hell, if you do somewhat decent (or your dad is interested), I'd be interested in getting my Integra painted.
Keep me informed!!!
it's the amuse replica from teamspugen.com (it's urethane)
Yea, I have a pretty damn big air compressor, spray gun, sanding materials, etc...
My dad bought it all to paint a piano (restore a 1800s paino), and it came out flawless - looks VERY professional.
I figure why not try a car... it shouldn't be too hard, make the coats VERY light, and just coat it 4 times or so with paint and 2 clear coats... I think it would look fine.
I also want to paint my headlight housings, I just need help getting them apart. If you ever need to paint something, let me know, s2ki members are welcome to use it!
(An integra would be good practice!)

You serious about the offer? If so, the only thing I'd need to know is where to get supplies from (paint, clearcoat, and whatever else).
No lip yet... order in process...
Luder, I'm serious about the offer... No Problem, anytime!
PM me whenever - I want to clear my headliights and paint the housings, I'll probably do that first (soon... within the next 2 weeks or so)
Supplies... I'm in the same boat as you, I need to go get suzuka blue color first
Greg - Thanks for the pics, I'm located in Morton Grove (Niles, Glenview area)... I could use help putting it on, I'll let you know when it comes in!
I might get some plastic curtains this weekend, and maybe we can set up a little mini-meet at my house (get a BBQ going) - I'm gonna be stuck @ home clearing/painting lights anyway (I could use help).

If you can wait until after this weekend, I'd be more than willing to help with the headlight clearing. In fact, I still have all the tools laid out to take the lights out, clear them, and re-install them....so it'd be very easy to do if you can do this at my place.
I'll pm you my number and we'll talk about getting together soon.

You can get the supply at:
TERRACE SUPPLY COMPANY

Phone: (847) 352-9111
- corner of Hintz and Chaddick Drive, about two traffic light east of Milwaukee Ave.
I bought auto paint, clear coat from them before. They can mix the paint, just bring the color code.
